(Senior) Geotechnical Engineer

For one of our clients in the jack-up engineering industry, we are looking for a geotechnical engineer.

Our client supports jack-up operations. They are an independent engineering and consultancy firm, specialized in jack-up technology.

You’ll build on your geotechnical expertise while learning structural and hydrodynamic engineering on the job, supported by colleagues and training. This is your chance to grow into a well-rounded engineer with specialist depth.
You’ll work on geotechnical data interpretation, 3D ground modelling, and geo hazard quantification. You will develop soil interpretation tools, perform Leg Penetration Analyses & Punch-through Assessments, and provide preloading guidance. Throughout projects, you will engage directly with clients, from the very first request to delivery, ensuring safe and efficient jack-up operations.

Responsibilities:

• Managing short-term projects from start to finish with full responsibility
• Contributing to research- and development projects, creating new tools & innovations
• Expanding into other disciplines, such as software or business development, based on your interests and strengths

Requirements

• MSc in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Fluent in Dutch & English
• 4+ years of experience in offshore geotechnical engineering
• Willingness to travel and work offshore for short periods
• Familiar with Python or eager to learn
